There be

Utilizamos there + be para hablar sobre la existencia de algo. El sujeto real se sitúa después del verbo.

There is a pencil. (Hay un lápiz.)

There + be se puede expresar en todos los tiempos verbales. Fíjate que algunos tiempos tienen diferente conjugación para el singular y el plural.

there is (presente singular)
