Introduction

The Brown family lives in a small house on a quiet street. There are four members of the family: Mom, Dad, John and Suzy. The family pet is a dog named Max. Here is a dialogue of a typical Saturday morning at the Brown’s house.

Dialogue

Mom

  Good morning John and Suzy.

John

  Good morning mommy.

Mom

What would you like for breakfast today?

John

I will have toast and juice.

Suzy

  I would like some cereal.

After breakfast…

Mom

Why don’t you play in the garden?

Suzy

  Okay!

John

  Let’s play football.

Suzy

No, I don’t want to play football. I want to play on the swings.

Dad

  Hi kids!

John

Hi dad. Do you want to play football with me?

Dad

  Of course!

Mom

Where is Max? I can’t find him.

Dad

I think he is in the garage.

Suzy

He was in my bedroom when I got up.

John

I will go look for him.

A little while later…

John

Here he is. He was in the living room under the sofa.

Dad

  Oh, silly dog!
